How we handle your information.
This is a short notice because this is a short website. It collects almost nothing, and we would rather say so plainly than write three pages that hide it.
Who we are
F.B. Consultancy is a sole trader business run by Fay Birmingham, and is the data controller for the information described here. F.B. Consultancy is a separate business from Progress Path Ltd; this notice covers F.B. Consultancy only.

What this website collects
Nothing automatically. There are no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising tags, and no cookies. Nothing is stored in your browser and no profile of your visit is built.
Two things are worth being straight about anyway:
- Fonts. The page loads two typefaces from Google Fonts. That request tells Google your IP address and basic browser information, as it would on most websites. We do not receive that data and we cannot see it.
- Hosting. Our host keeps standard server logs, which is normal for any website and is how a server works at all.
If you email us
Every button on this site opens an email. If you write to us we will hold your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you choose to put in the message.
Why we are allowed to. Because you contacted us and we are replying, and because we have a legitimate interest in answering enquiries about our work. If a conversation turns into an engagement, we hold what we need to take steps towards that contract.
How long we keep it. Enquiries that go nowhere are deleted within twelve months. If we work together, records are kept for as long as the engagement runs and for six years afterwards, which is the ordinary period for business and tax records.
Who else sees it. Nobody, other than the email and business systems we use to run the business. We do not sell information, we do not share it for marketing, and we do not pass it to other clients.
Booking a conversation
The “Book a conversation” buttons on this site link out to a booking page hosted by HubSpot. They are ordinary links: nothing from HubSpot runs on this website, and no HubSpot cookie is set on fbconsultancy.co.uk. The description above of what this site does and does not do still holds.
If you follow that link and book a meeting, you are on HubSpot's page and you give your details to HubSpot, who process them for us so that we can hold the meeting. That normally means your name, your email address and anything you choose to write in the booking form, plus whatever HubSpot itself collects on its own page. We use it to prepare for and attend the conversation, and we keep it on the same basis and for the same periods set out above. HubSpot is a US company and its privacy notice governs what happens on its own page.
You do not have to use it. Emailing us instead reaches the same person and involves nobody else.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us holding it. Email hello@fbconsultancy.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
If a signup form is ever embedded in this site, this notice must be updated again before it goes live. An embedded form is different from the booking link described above: it collects information on this website rather than on someone else's, and it usually sets cookies through whoever provides it. Both change what has to be said here.
